Inspiration - Breadway Bakery.
The Breadway bakery is on our hit list this year. A bold colour palette, custom furnishings, colour blocking and opal lighting. If houseof was a bakery it would be Breadway Bakery.
Collaborating on a bakery and café in the historic port city of Odessa, Ukraine; designers Lera Brumina and Artem Trigubchak, were given the brief, to ‘create an inviting, memorable space’. Using their combined expertise, they overhauled the space into a vibrant eatery, opting for contrasting colours, custom furnishings and textures.
Originally a dental clinic, the bakery features concrete floors, high ceilings and large windows, which utilises natural light and creates an inviting space.
The bakery is divided into three visually distinctive sections, according to function through the use of colour and texture. A deep-blue take-away zone with coral fittings, creates a highly contrasting visual and combines this year on trend colours.
If you are feeling bold, we think coral is the perfect accent colour against blue. Style the coral pendant ceiling lights, against a dazzling blue wall for a similar look to the custom coral chandelier, that hangs over the take-away area.
A pink waiting area is distinctively positioned in the middle of the bakery, which perfectly demonstrates, this year’s trend of colour blocking. With pink velvet chairs sat against a pastel pink wall, finished off with pink tabletops.
Incorporate tone on tone in your interior, by styling our pink diffuser floor lamp against a blush pink wall.
Take a look at our blog on tone on tone for more information about how to achieve this look in your home.
The final section is a muted grey zone, where customers can unwind and relax with a coffee and a pastry. A pink and coral bench runs across the wall, with high scalloped backs intended to draw the eye upwards, to the large bespoke coral chandelier.
The walls are covered with glossy grey-blue tiles by Ceramica Bardelli, and fixed with contrasting pink grout, finished off with a thick golden border.
Style the opal disk wall light in multiples along your dining room, living room, or bedroom wall, to create lighting for your whole room, whilst making a stylish statement.
The detail continues into the bathroom, which feature cobalt cabinets and pink sinks to match the rest of the interior. Orange tiles adorn the walls and countertops, finished off with pink grout.
If you are looking for stylish bathroom lighting, then try our flush dome ceiling light, which incorporates this year’s opal ball lighting trend.
The menu includes a mixture of healthy and indulgent, focusing heavily on using local produce, to create culinary delights.
With plates of cream cakes and a seriously on-trend interior, Breadway Bakery appeals to both those visiting for food, and design.
