One of the new colour trends in interiors this year is colour blocking and in this post we explore the art of creating the chameleon affect. We have combined our favourite tone on tone images from Pinterest to show you how easy it is to incorporate this trend into your house.

In this era, it is no surprise that we are starting with pink.  Pink has become a firm favourite in interiors and has no sign of disappearing.  Millennial pink has grown up and been replaced by a duskier version but we are still lusting over this image from Design by Gemini. Incorporate tone on tone by spraying or painting props on shelves or side tables to create this on trend look.

We love the use of colour in this image as it cleverly plays with tones from the same parent colour. The use of tones brings the scheme together to create a grown up and refined look.

This plaster pink image shows the clever use of textures to demonstrate our tone on tone trend. Using textures in the same palette creates the illusion of new colour but keeps the whole scheme consistent and cohesive.

Lastly, be bold and paint your walls to match your furniture, or even the other way around. Try painting your skirting boards, door frames and ceilings in one colour for the illusion of space and for the ultimate blended look.
